Talk to your pastor about renting from a congregation that already has a building. The money that you're dealing with is God's money. Be a good steward of it. Do not give it to some landlord who also rents properties to alcohol vendors, pornography shops, etc.
While your congregation is saving and growing toward buying or building your own place, rent from another congregation. Meet in the afternoon - we did this for many years before we built. The money goes to God's work - to help out the existing group add on to the children's building or put in new carpet or buy other stuff that they haven't been able to ... be faithful in the little and all that, you know?
