I ask this becuase of the top four left in American Idol I cannot believe enough people did not vote for Lakesha I think it is a shame. When are the general public in the US going to make up there own minds rather then listening to three judges and there opinions. Really if Paula Abdul was any good she would still have a singing career?. Simon isn't even American and really it just seems half the time Randy is a bouncer for
Simon and Paula?.

I'm American and I wonder the same thing. I mean, look how long they kept Sanjaya on! And look how early some of the other talent, like Gina, was voted off. Unfortunately I haven't been able to vote because I live in Germany, we get the show a day after has aired State-side.

who cares if Simon isn't American? He's the best judge by far. You may have been a fan of Lakisha, but it was her time to go. She was great at the beginning but it seemed like each week she kept getting worse and worse. She would often yell the words rather than sing them. I think we picked the right people for the top 3. Melinda, Blake and Jordin should all be there. People vote for their favorites. I'm always interested in seeing what the judges say, but it doesn't influence my vote.

Well I can't really speak for the rest of American, but I vote on how I think they did each night. Lakesha, in my opinion, did horrible. And based off of her performance she was the one that should have been kicked off. I think American got the order right. I am a fan of Blake. And don't like to see him in the bottom 2. But he also did horrible last night, and deserved it. We in the u.s know how to use our minds. We don't blindly listen to what the judges tell us to do. If that was the case Tamyra Gray would have one season 1, Clay Aiken would of won season 2, and Taylor Hicks wouldn't of won season 5. And Hun Paula Abdul is great singer.

Well they might, but perhaps the less talented singers have more friends because it isn't voted like elections... i think only people with a phone can vote or possibly over the internet in some places.

In idol where i live, you need to make a toll call where you get charged money to place a vote. So perhaps a lot of poor people don't vote even though they can spot talent.

I am an american but I don't watch trash tv like the American Idol. So don't blame all of us, I think the ratings show like 20 million watch it, not a lot out of 300 million people in the country. TV tends to overstate the importance of nearly everything in the entertainment industry.

Melinda and Lakisha are pretty similar and that is why Lakisha went home. The flaw in American Idol is that you can't vote to send people home.
