I have my own scrapbooking business in AZ and I'm having trouble getting new customers. I've advertised in the local communities with flyers, handed out coupons, adverised on free website and even giving free shipping. I've got a super low budget and don't know what else to do. Would anyone please help. I know word of mouth is fabulous and If anyone in the Chandler, Mesa, GIlbert area in AZ would like to host a free party I'd also give away a few goodies to the host! You could check out my website at www.EliLolaScrap.com but I would really like a long term solution, anything would help. Thank you!

Party scrapbooking is always harder to get your name out then having a physical store that people go into. You might want to try a couple of the following ideas.

If you have children in school, contact the teacher and ask if she would host a teacher scrapbook party. Explain that you are starting your business, and would like to introduce EliLola Scrapbooking, Inc. to the staff. All she needs to do is provide her class room, and have the other teachers bring some supplies i.e. scissors, glue stick, paper cutter, and two pictures, you get the idea. Then using EliLola paper and embellishments, make a mini scrapbook. All it takes is one 12x12 paper cut in half per person. If your interested, just email me for the directions. They are easy, fast, and cheap to make.

At our local elementary school, parents can send flyers home with the kids. Check and see if you can do that also.

Pre-schools have a built in product…children. Contact the local pre-schools and see if you can do flyers, maybe a make and take, or put up a 12x12 scrapbook page, using some of their pictures, to peak interest.

Another source is church. There is bound to be someone who is interested in scrapbooking. If the church has a women’s group, check to see if they might be interested in hosting a party or at least allow you to demo your products.

Kids sporting events are also a place to tap, as well as dance classes, and gymnastic classes.

I hope this helps. If you need the mini book directions you can email me at caryann2@earthlink.net and leave mini scrapbook in the subject line.

Good Luck, Cary

There is a stamping shop near me and she has classes all the time, and social scrapbooking nights with demonstrations. That's how you get customers and keep them coming back. Maintain a mailing list and stay in touch woth them. Give them prizes or discounts if they bring friends. Good luck. I believe in local business!

editing - I thought you were opening a store. The home party thing has been done to death and in my opinion, it's not a good investment.

I took a path known as The Psychology of Excellence. It used to be all approximately making improvements to your self, founded in your possess competencies, and so forth. One of our initiatives used to be to discover an discipline in our existence we desired to upgrade and utilising the systems of self-tracking, target atmosphere, and behavioral difference that the path had taught us to honestly paintings on exchanging it. Since taking the path, my condo has been such a lot purifier and geared up, I am now workout ordinarily, and I am taking higher care of myself. I believe it is extremely main to self-track or examine conduct and spot wherein your existence will also be increased. A lot of folks simply get down on themselves or consider that their existence is dangerous however they do not honestly attempt to upgrade some thing or take accountability for his or her conduct and movements. This path I took used to be incredible for the reason that it relatively verbalized and offered suggestions that I possibly had a seize on however did not recognise thoroughly but. I have no idea if I accept as true with your declaration that the man or woman who attempts to restrict his errors attains knowledge. People make errors. The main side is reflecting upon the ones errors and making improvements to your self to be able to avert the ones identical errors. But plenty of folks who attempt to prohibit their errors simply become now not attempting new stuff or utilising it's as an excuse not to do anything. Learning from errors is one key to luck and I do not believe folks must be fearful of errors.

Have tables and hold scrapping demonstrations at the shop, so people can get ideas and buy the product while they're there.
