Sir Don Bradman's average is the highest all time and stands at 99.94. He needed only 4 runs to make it an even 100 in his last innings. But unfortunately he was out for a 0 in that innings and the average stayed below 100. Bradman could have come back to make it an even 100 but he had decided before the beginning of this series that he would retire in the match where he would score a 0 because he was growing old and his desire to play was declining. So the average remained below 100.

Sir Bradman has an incredible record of 99.94. This is a world record in itself he should have easily touched the magical number of 100 as his career average had he not got out on 0 in his last match.
