if you think so, explain why (without using Al Sharpton, BET, or NAACP; all of which are created or owned by whites).

Then, if you will, describe the difference between prejudice and racism, because they are not one in the same.

If you think not, post who you think is the most racist, and explain why.

Firstly, the difference between prejudice and racism:

Prejudice is bias. It is belief without facts. It is an inclination for preconceived opinions, particularly about certain groups of people (races, religions, persons with disabilities, etc...)

Racism, simply put, is prejudice based upon race.

Secondly, to answer the initial question:
No, I do not think that black people are the most racist. To believe as such would be to believe that all black people feel the same and have the same attitudes/opinions. In other words, to believe as such would in fact be racist. Are there more racist blacks than there are racist people of other races? I'm not sure. I don't think anyone can say with any certainty. Nor do I think that it's important. What IS important is that there are many racist people in this world, people who use their irrational hatred and ignorant judgements as a foundation for decision making in every day life. THAT is what's important, that and the fact that we must all fight it TOGETHER or else racism will continue to spread like a forest fire.

****I agree with Bionic, to a certain extent....
I'm in complete agreement with him on everything except for the NAACP. My view is NOT that there shouldn't be organizations that fight discrimination and try to ensure fair and equal treatment. My view is that such organizations should exist that strive for these things for all people and without attaching race, or other group identities, to their names. My reason for feeling this way is because I think it's impossible to truly stand together if we continue to seperate ourselves in one way or another. I hope everyone comprehends what I'm trying to say. I am quite often misunderstood when I voice my opinion regarding this matter.

In these modern times there is no real way to gage who is the most racist. What's the point anyway?

I will agree that we blacks can have a double standard about race in regards to what we think people can or cannot say about us.

When people bring up Al Sharpton, BET or NAACP these are not great examples with respect to race. Al Sharpton attempts to be the voice of his peers, what's wrong with that? Bill O'Rielly and Rush Limbaugh attempt to speak for all whites, yet I know they don't. BET is no longer black owned and even if it was, what is wrong with blacks having a network that shows programming that appeals more to us. The 4 major networks are white owned and just because it is not called Caucasian TV, you can't tell who is in charge over there. The Lifetime Network is owned by a man, but so what!

With regard to the NAACP. It is still very much a necessity. Once we all as a nation get over ourselves, it won't be. Your white, I'm black, shes Asian, He's Native, there Hispanic, etc...Race has an will continue to be an issue in this country since the government never took steps to bring us together after the the abolishing of slavery and the influx of immigrants which is why America has no culture. We have traditions, but no culture or a standardized way to do things. The rest of the world who's societies are older have culture.

I think everybody's equally racist, it's all in where you hear it and how you hear it. People may think black people are the most racist because they put their comments out in the open.
