"Does Everyone undertsand that the candidates don't run their own campaigns?

"this question is for all those who claim that Bush won two elections because he is smart."

"Bush didn't run either of those campaigns. His campaign managers did."

"so it means he had shrewd campaign staff.

My answer to the Original Asker:

Are you are basically saying Hilary’s campaign and her requesting congress to continue to push a time line is her campaign staff telling her to do this?

The democrats have relied heavily on Polls. Personally although I am knowledgeable I do not take time out my day to stop and sign poll. The people who sign polls are not indicators of the common USA citizen/voter.

I would have to say Bush won in my opinion not on brains and not on campaign managers. He won because of his beliefs.

But if you want to talk about shrewd campaigns, maybe look into the democrats’ mirror. The democrats have bet 100% that their Bush Bashing will win them the election. The democrats continue to stick to the idea of "lets run from Iraq" and knowing full well it will lead to genocide of Muslims, christens, Jews, (and certain Type of Muslims sects 10-15% in Iraq who are of various sects of Muslim that are moderate/conservative Muslims - In fact many Kurds and other Muslims have sympathy and toleration of all religions - including the local christens, Jews, the Jewish State, Armenians, and others who live in mostly Kurdish areas - but also South and East area of Iraq) So while the democrats brainwash you into believing things like there is no Global war on terrorism (even though 40-60 countries have been invaded and their governments attack by Al Qaeda and other extremist terror groups. (NO GLOBAL WAR???? – Are People Blind, Deaf, or just Dumb?)

Another thought on this is that there were more registered democrats before 9/11 then and during the 2nd Bush election..... Yet He Still Won!!!

This election I will bet money that the democrats will lose the presidential election. Democrats may be the most numerous registered voters. But I don't care how shrewd you campaign staff is they can make very wrong decisions (look at Nixon and water gate!)

During the upcoming elections you will continue to see the democratic majority News continue to post Al Qaeda/terrorist Videos and their “plan lets pretend we are French and RUN”. --- Well sorry to say many Democrats and/or Americans can see through the lies and see the man behind the curtain.

So have fun Dorothy believing that there is some mysterious wizard of OZ. But the democrats have backed the wrong horse and the wrong race. I would have liked to see at least one democrat who is for protecting the Middle East from a 10 fold outbreak of violence and is ready to continue to train, and ready the Iraqi government until it can stand on its own.

Also in today’s political atmosphere there are others who have power and influence on the outcome of an election. These include News orgs, Celebrities, citizens of influence, , and for past 12 Years Blogers. Also your question suggests that the Candidates have no say in how their campaign is run. I call BS on that.

Do you believe if you were running for president you would listen without any thought as to what some advertising majors or campaign managers say? - Please answer I am very curious.

I can name a few who do not let their campaign manger make the "Goal" and "Ethics" type decisions. For any ethical person they will not even think of letting someone tell lies just so they can gain a political office.

Here are some ethical candidates that did not allow their campaign managers to control their views on the world and what need to be said: Ross Perot, Ronald Reagan, Abraham Lincoln, F.D. Roosevelt - All these people had high ethics and were more interested in bringing up the important issues (against advice of advisors) - even if people did not want to hear them. In the end many were chosen because the people could see this was someone they trusted.

Today there is two main Rep. candidates that are ignoring their campaign managers - McCain and Giuliani who have both spoke of the need to continue to help Iraq train security forces and continue to help stabilize the country prior to any withdraw.

As it gets closer to election you will see that the republicans will show the facts and outline why we need to stay and help Iraq. The truths of how bad the conflict will become and create awarness about regional and genocidal implications of any pull out. I imagine the Democrats will continue to push the anti war effort to the end. Yet in the End, I hope the American Citizens democrats and republicans will vote for a strong country leader, and “not one that runs like a "3rd world nation". Especially when we have learned so much and retrained our troops about fighting terrorist’s insurgencies. And the general public is already hearing the need to continue from some soldiers, Military generals, News Media, and even a handful or democrats! But mostly from US, Iraqi, and European military officials.

Last and NOT least there were approx. 15 countries under attack by Islamic extremists in 2001. There is now over 60 and Japan is even debating getting into the war on terrorism to help curb ground the terrorists have begun to gain over the past 20 years.

Also here is a question? Why do democrats say Bushes politics have alienated the US from the international community? Sure when he attacked Iraq, some of the UN members were against the USA. But guess what now most UN nations are now behind the USA/Iraqi surge and counterinsurgency techniques that appear to be working. Yes we will lose a few more men then normal during the Surge. Let’s see we lose about 1,000 USA soldiers a year ATM. However if we run and only Britain Aussie and some other UN nations stay to help Iraq by the time, when we end up having to go back in about 4 years we be in a war that will claim the lives lose about 5,000 - 10,000 Allied troops a year and a Draft may be needed, as the problem will be MUCH Worse.

The political party of a candidate, campaign strategists and network of fundraisers are primary factors for catapulting someone to the Presidency.
