The odds of winning the Grand Prize are 1 in 146,107,962. The odds of winning $100 or more about 1 in 6,500.
Even if you play every day, your odds are awful, but there is always a chance. Assuming you play once every day and you live for another 50 years (meaning that you'll play about 18,000 times), your chances of ever winning $100 or more on one day are pretty good. It is reasonably likely that you'll win a $100 prize at least once. However, the odds that you'll ever win the Grand Prize are still awful, even if you play every day for the rest of your life. The odds that you will ever win the Grand Prize in your life, even playing every day, are about 1 in 8000.
And to the person who said "only if you live to be 200": nice thought, but the odds are that you have about an even shot at winning by the time you reach about your 400,000th birthday. I'm not joking. So if you're planning on living to be FOUR HUNDRED THOUSAND YEARS OLD and you want to play the lottery every day, you have a pretty good shot. Nevermind the fact that there's probably no way that Powerball will be around in 400,000 years.

No matter how many people play Powerball, the chances of winning never change. The chances of winning are based on the amount of number combinations, not the number of players. Quick Pick tickets are generated randomly by the terminal at the retailer, and there is no central computer that is controlling ticket generation. The chances of buying a Powerball ticket with the same numbers as someone else are the same as the chances of winning the jackpot -- about 1 in 146 million.
If you play and play some more you might just win someday. The odds are listed on the lottery website. If you do have the time of your life, do everything you ever wanted to do. But just remember the chances of winning are really slim. So good luck :)

How could anyone answer that. Stats would be against you. However, I have read where some people have won more than one Powerball in their lifetime.
I alway keep thinking positive.
You end up with more money in the end if you take the option of a 20 year pay out.
Most lotteries are won by people who play the same number week after week instead of doing a random pick number.
You can't win if you don't play.
Someone has to win, so it might as well be you.
Stats may be against us but you may the the one in a billion.
So, keep playing and good luck.

To answer this question truthfullly it is a matter of luck. However the likely hood that this will happen in like 1 out of every 2,000 tickets or 1 out of every 500 people. So they are not the very best percentages. So it is not really likely that you will win. Sorry but it just isn't realistic so i hope that you still try to win.

Yes...chances are if you play at least 5 lines (or tickets) (assuming you are in your 20's) everytime for the next 50 years, you have a pretty good chance at winning....
But then again...you have a much bigger chance of getting hit by lightning or struck in the head by a bald eagle in midflight than winning the lottery.....but I wish you the very best!! (I hope you do win!!!)

Lets see, what are the chances that you will land on and walk the surface of the Moon? To put it simply, your chances of winning the lottery are about the same chances that you will walk on the Moon. I guess that means you have a lot to look forward to.

You have a very slim chance but I always get a 5 dollar ticket twice a week. Most I have ever won is 100 dollars.

Probably not, you do however have a better chance of getting struck by lightning or shot down on the way to work.
