can anyone give details of getting to alibag from mumbai by sea.
how much will it cost. the hotels and the price. approximately.

There are regular ferry services from Gateway of India to Alibag. Ajanta ferry is cheapest (last month @Rs.65/- per seat), Maldar (@85/- it's a value for money cruise) and the costliest PNP (AC catamaran @100/-).
You will need to get down at Mandwa jetty. From there you will be taken in a bus to Alibag. (fare included in the ferry ticket).
There are several hotels and resorts in various price categories. Best is you reach there and then enquire or go through yellowpages/ news paper ads and book beforehand.

By sea...u need to take a Catamarine or other boats available from Gateway of India.... it would cost approx 500 to and fro per person in AC boats.. lesser in nonAC.
Accomodation would range from 150 per head to 1500 per room depending upon your budget....
btw... an overnight stay is advised only if u r in a group.. nothing much to view in Alibag except beach and a fort....can b done in a day picnic...

by sea you have to go from a cruse or a simple boat it will cost to 1100 rs for one person
alibaug is realy a wonderful place i think u would enjoy it
and i will suggest u to go to beach
