You'd probably get a few more answers if you tone down the attitude a bit.

As written, the equation doesn't make any sense; b/3 = 8 = -7 means b/3 = 8 and 8 = -7. Since 8 ≠ -7 there are clearly no solutions.

I assume therefore that it's a typo, with the most likely possibilities being:

b/3 + 8 = -7
=> b/3 = -7 - 8
=> b/3 = -15
=> b = 3×(-15)
=> b = -45.

b/3 - 8 = -7
=> b/3 = -7 + 8
=> b/3 = 1
=> b = 3×1
=> b = 3.

b/3 = 8 + (-7)
=> b/3 = 1
=> b = 3×1
=> b = 3.

b/3 = 8 - (-7)
=> b/3 = 15
=> b = 3×15
=> b = 45.

If the question was different to any of these, or you still have questions, feel free to email me. Politely, for preference.
