You have to put one leg up higher like lift and push your pelvic area out alittle and insert it to the rim of the tampon and push it in. You probably aren't inserting far enough. That is why you feel uncomfortable. That happens allot. If you don't want to waste it, take your finger and push it in alittle more. Just don't push the string up because then you will have to try and get it out. I hope that was helpful. When I was your age, my friends had to explain it to me. My mom had the same feelings and still does about tampons. When I was your age, I got my period and was on my last pad, and was staying at my friends for the summer. Well she used tampons and I was scared to use them. She explained to me it was ok and we weren't having sex yet. She just showed me the tampon and explained how to insert. Ever since, I am all about using them.

Basically this is what you do sit on the toilet legs open lean back somewhat take the tampon out of the wrapper if it is one of those with an applicator.Using one of your hand hold the tampon with your thumb and second finger with your pointer finger on the plunger. Using one hand locate your vaginal entrance.Hold open your labial lips slightly. Put the top of the applicator to your entrance sliding it carefully inside if it is not one of those that is the gentle glide applicators. Once you have slid the top part all the way to the end of the slight bulb into your vaginal cavity using your pointer finger push down the plunger until it disappears into the bulb you will feel a slight fullness at first this lets you know that you have inserted the tampon correctly..

Truthfully your body may not be made to wear tampons comfortably. I tried before but I cannot and I am 27 and have had 2 children. They just don't fit right because the way I am shaped inside. This is a fairly common problem since tampons are one shape, one length and not all women are made the same. Best of luck to you, Maybe you can use some paper towels until morning!

Tn best way is to sit on the toilet or the edge of the tub. make sure you get a lot of light and use a hand help mirror. Be sure to wash your hands before inserting it. The tampon box should have instructions on it. Look in the mirror and open up 'the lips' with the other. You might need to use your fingers to hunt around on where to put it. if you cant put it in, maybe you should ask your mom for advice (yes, I know embarrassing)

Be sure to wash your hands after!!

You've gotten lots of feedback about putting one foot up, aim towwards the tail bone, etc. You're removing both parts of the cardboard, right? Have you had a pap smear yet with a gyno? If not, you need to right away. You're at that age. There may not be anything wrong at all. You may just need a different brand. Tampax, etc are all pretty standard but perhaps the ones with the shorter applicator would work better. Most importantly, see a dr, and relax!

I don't know what brand you're using or I could try to give you more specific advice. But, the key to not feeling it is to make sure that you get it up far enough. Personally, I prefer OB because they expand outwards instead of lengthwise. A little bit of vaseline on the tip can help you with insertion, just not so much that you make it so it doesn't absorb.

Senior promenade night. era only started the day earlier, and mine has a tendency to be heaviest on the 2d-third days. i grew to become into eating dinner and enjoying myself, and that i hadn't replaced my tampon in awhile. a set human beings ladies bypass to the bathing room, and only as i'm drying my arms my pal factors out a large stain on the back of my gentle blue dress. I just about freaked out, yet I used survival skills and have been given a tumbler of club soda and proceeded to spend twenty minutes scrubbing at my dress. fortuitously, it got here out, yet i can in basic terms think of how awful it could have been if that had befell later interior the night, or if I hadn't observed and went to promenade like that. And each and all of the adult males have been asking why I were interior the bathing room for see you later, yet of course i could no longer tell them

why so desperate to use tampons?
they often dont fit.
they are not at all good for your body, a man obviously invented them!
plus they can casue toxic shock syndrome, look that up on net.
your mum is not being aboring parent, she probably wants you to use pads for all sorts of good reasons - i encourage my daughters to use pads, more hygenic and afer for them too.
there are natural alternatives, the 'mooncup', and a natural sponge which can be washed and reused. if that all sounds a bit much stay with pads, there are such thin discreet ones out there.
i hope this helps a bit.
p.s. with one pad to go, you have loads of time to get to mall to buy more, or would your mother take you or get them for you?
us mums seem ancient to you, but we were once teens with periods an di'm sure if you confide your concerns in her she'd be so pleased that you're chatting and willing to help you in all sorts of ways.
good luck!

Well first of all Iif it's falling out it's not in all the way or it's too small. And if it's uncomfortable you're not inserting it right... You should try getting in a squating position and insert it...if it still hurts then they're not for you. Good Luck!

put one foot up onto the toilet, holding tampon in upright position with thumb and 3rd finger. find the hole, gently slide it up with your index finger (as far as you can...not way too far).
you will know if you have inseted properly if it (a) doesn't fall out or (b) can't feel it.
goodluck, tampons are way better than pads...
