I live in Michigan and we have quite a few casinos. The nicest one in called Soaring Eagle casino and resort in Mt. Plesant. It is a five star diamond resort very nice. I have stayed there many times. There is also the old casino across the street from that. In Detroit we have MGM Grand, Greektown, and Motor City. Go to these ones at night because there is always a band playing and the casinos are rockin!! There is also a few up in the upper penisula, and also some on the west side of the state!! So come to Michigan and have some fun!!!

How about San Diego? There are about 8 or 10 casinos within an hour of each other plus there are all of the other area attractions including the SD Zoo, Wild Animal Park and Sea World if you want to get out of a casino for a while.

I live in Vegas and visit casinos on a regular basis -- but, for something totally (and I do mean totally) different, consider Macau. I was there last year and it is pretty incredible. The Asians love gambling and Macau has already exceeded Las Vegas in gaming revenues. Stay in Hong Kong and take a jet boat over there - the half-hour or so ride is a tour in itself and you can walk to most of the casinos from the terminal. It is high energy gambling and if you lose, there is a whole exciting city to explore in Hong Kong.

Have you tried Laughlin Nevada? It's about 90 miles south of Vegas and is very low key, and reasonably priced. We have found Harrah's to be the best down there followed by Ramada Express and then the Golden Nugget. It's on the Colorado River too. Hope this info helps!

What about Connecticut? There's two I know of: Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun. Both are huge and well kept.
