Yes. When you are not free, someone or something else controls you so you are not responsible. But when you are free to make your own decisions then you are accountable for whatever you do because it was your choice.
As a child, your freedom is limited. You wish you could grow up & "do whatever you want." Then you grow up & realize that with adult freedom comes responsibility. So freedom isn't as free as you think! It comes at a price...In some ways you were more free as a child when you had someone else controlling your life because they were taking care of your needs. You didn't have to go out to work, pay bills, etc etc. You had no worries. Mind you I wouldn't want to be a kid again for anything! I'm glad to be in control of my own life. Even though it can be stressful at times...

Freedom and responsibility are human constructions. They are illusions of how life ought to be based on socialized concepts of acceptable/unacceptable, right/wrong, good/bad.
I have zero responsibility to you in any way, shape or form. If I am free, we can state then that there is no connection between freedom and responsibility.
I am not free. If choose not to pay a bill, I will find out how the law can interrupt my freedom. I cannot do as I choose in society, or I will in contact with the law. The income tax code in the US is 1 million words long. Those are not freedoms, but restrictions and limitations.

Yes. Freedom depends upon responsibility to be freedom. To be responsible is to have the freedom to be so. One depends on the other to be the one.
Theirs is a marriage in which either depends on the space or ether of the other, for which each acts as a foil to the other to initiate momentum and purpose and existence to occur so that the two can ever exist and persist in the first place.

What you believe you have created, you also believe you can change. What you believe others have created, you do not have control over and cannot change. Therefore taking responsibility for all matters affecting you, empowers you with the ability to change or not change depending on your preference. The more you are willing to take responsibility for all matters, the more freedom you will have because you will understand you are the creator of those things and can re-create them at will, to your liking.
The less responsibility one is willing to take, the more helpless and hopeless one becomes. In other words you become your own victim.
