Is he the one who gave Locke Sawyer's records?

I've only seen it spelled "Alpert" but you might be right about "Halpert".
No it definitely wasn't Ben who gave Locke the files. This guy I'm asking about is the one who gave the files. He's one of Ben's right hand men. But he acted like Ben would not like it if Locke got those files. Now I'm wondering what he is up to.

yes Richard gave Locke the files on Sawyer and he is also the guy in the jungle that Ben ran into as a child, only he had longer hair. Did ya notice he didnt age, just got a haircut and cleaned up. Now you know this is going to be significant down the line, so we must pay attention.

You are correct. His name is Richard Alpert. He is played by Nestor Carbonell, who used to be Luis Rivera - the photographer on "Suddenly Susan". He is the one who brought Juliet to the island, and he is the one who gave Sawyer's file to Locke. I'm sure Ben suggested it, but it was Alpert who physically handed the file to Locke. Richard Alpert.
Gave Locke Sawyers records. Richard got the records from Ben.
He also is the guy who met Little Ben outside the perimeter last episode (just add longer hair and a beard, its him!).

I believe it's Halpert, but he's the guy who convinced Juliet to go to the island. And he "took care" of her husband. He's also the guy who gave Locke the files.

I don't remember anyone named Alpert? I thought Locke got the records from Ben.
