I filled my daughters tank so she can get to work until her 1st paycheck and it cost me $46. She ran out of gas and borrowed $20 from her dad after 4 days. Of course its a 44 mile round trip to work every day. Is this a lot of gas or what?

Gas mileage can differ with driver styles. If you daughter is constantly on and off the gas, or if she likes to red line the car. Then gas mileage will suffer, also the type of commute she has, city vs highway miles. But 176 miles per tank is very attainable out of a 4 cylinder through rev happy driving.
