What mammal has the most teeth?

I need to know what mammal has the most teeth, and how many there are.
If at all possible can you include the link where you found your information?

Dolphins. I'll do more research and get back, not killer whales which are a dolphin but just normal dolphins. Let me do research and get back.

Found it! Up to 250 in some species!!

Additional research in this book I have on dolphins and whales reveals that the long-beaked common dolphin has between 47 to 67 pairs on both the upper and lower jaw, so let's take the maximum of 67 pairs, that's 134 teeth in the upper jaw, and 134 in the lower jaw giving the dolphin a grand total of 268 teeth!!!

Edit: More research: This website here says this:

"On land the mammal with the most teeth is the Giant Armadillo (Priodontes giganteus), order Edentata, which can as many 100 teeth in its jaws. The Long-snouted Spinner Dolphin can have as many as 252 teeth in its long thin jaws."

i would guess that sharks have the most teeth just because many species have multiple rows of teeth..
the teeth also grow back and can last from 8 days to a few months. They teeth also move through their mouthes like a conveyor belt. so the back ones come forward and new ones grow in back. sharks teeth are not embedded into the jaw but their flesh


also an interesting fact about teeth..beevers teeth NEVER stop growing (until they die that is) that was just FYI lol

it's "teeth" filter out plankton, and there are hundreds, maybe thousands.
