Bank #2 catalytic converter is not operating within specification. It means your bank #2 downstream O2 sensor is switching at close to the same rate as bank #2 upstream. This is the PCM's way of detecting bank #2's catalyst operating efficiency. Bank #2 is the OPPOSITE bank where cylinder #1 is. This means Bank #2 is the DRIVER side bank on your particular vehicle.

During warm up the second o2 sensor detected a weak cat converter. A word of caution here. Each manufacture of car is different some cars with a very small exhaust leak can cause the same code. Bank #2 is the side where #2 cyl is so be careful you don't work on the wrong side. I have also seen weak o2 sensors cause this code. Some Manufactures have computer reprograms to address cat converter warm up issues.

This code means you need a new CAT. Have seen this problem on multiple vehicles. Do not replace your 02 sensor. This will not fix the problem. Take your vehicle to a muffler shop and they can fix the problem.

The secondary o2 sensor are cat monitors. Their sole function is to monitor catalyst efficiency. They will indeed set codes for a bad cat. They can also be defective, and set codes for no reason.
