for threatening to call the police on my daughter for being snippy? She is not yelling, not cursing just having tone and rolling her eyes. She is 19.

Yes, there is no crime in having an attitude. Sounds like he has a major control issue and power struggle with her.

Threatening to call the police on her only breaks down the relationship further and is killing your daughters outlook on men. Threatening is not a way to get anyone anywhere. One thing it could lead to is her getting into a very unhealthy relationship either physically or verbally abusive or both.

Your daughter should have grown out of the eye rolling by now. Yeah, I beleive your hubby is going a bit too far with the cops. I haven't heard of anyone getting arrested for eye rolling. Sounds like he's had enough of her and want's her to leave the nest.

If you'all can't handle her without the police being involved, then how the hell did you get through the last 15 years or so. Take a vacation, buy yourselves something nice, or find her a "man." Just do something, otherwise he's gonna loose it one day, and I'll be laughin at your asses on an episode of "COPS."

Sorry, she has to actually threaten someone. Even then, the police may not do anything. They usually want a body before they take action.

every girl is going to have a tone trust me. just let her have the attitude. what ever you do don't put more wood in the fire. let her cool. try to get her to see things your way. maybe she'll understand. if she starts being a bit bitchy don't yell at her just talk calmly. if she starts yelling you just point out that she's the one yelling and she should settle down.

He is trying to use scare tactics on her and if she is anything like my 15 yr. old... trust me it's not going to work! She already knows that the police aren't going to do anything to her for this and although she probably isn't thinking it out loud... she is probably thinking. What do you honestly I'm an idiot??? I would tell him to talk to her like an adult. After all legally she is one. He might get a little more respect from her.

Just ignore his childish behaviour~~~let him call the cops and see how "happy" they're gonna be having their time wasted over something like that!
If anything, you'll get a good laugh when you see the fool he's made of himself!!! Don't stress!!!
