Yea, this history e book is especially poor. the authentic American attitude became a marketing campaign of island hopping, taking key strategic islands around the pacific to area closer and closer to japan, using each and every island as a forward base to pass to the subsequent. In some experience i assume it would might desire to be B, even although that's no longer completely perfect. they did no longer carry out a pincer maneuver, the eastern in no way captured halfway, and the eastern have been on top of problems with the Solomons until eventually the conflict of Guadalcanal, wherein we first touchdown and captured maximum of the island, until eventually eastern naval forces beat lower back our fleet and the eastern ran a night convoy by using a canal and landed greater troops, yet finally Guadalcanal became offensive, no longer protecting operations.

Maybe they never did.

It seems like they were just Westernized and did loose a large sense of their culture.
They also had been in a war with China not long before that that was also very devastating.
