lancer evo ?

Question

in the next year or so i want to sell my honda civic and buy a lancer or subaru wrx
my honda now its custom with a prelude engine and im getting tired of man so ill have to be automatic which lancer version is the fastest auto version ? i only seen a 4 speed automatic are they any good ? is there a 6speed automatic?

comment to zane i only done 120 -180 about 1 time in the past month which was when i was racing a dodge charger on i-495

Some of the higher end luxury cars now have 6 speed auto's. But not in the WRX or EVO. The good thing about the evo's is now that they have the paddle shifts. Also, the 4 speed tranny is not a bad thing for speed, escpecially with the power that and evo or wrx put to the ground, and they shift faster than you can with a manual. The only run longer between gears than a 5 speed or 6 speed does. Which like I said isn't a bad thing with enough power. On of the best transmission in drag racing is still the Chevy 2 speed power glide or Ford 3 speed FMX/C4. Top end is alittle less limited in the Evo WRX 4 speed but how often do you go about 125 130 ish?

I don't know where you're from, so i'm not sure whether you could buy this where u live. EVOs with an auto transmission are the EVO VII GT-A and the new EVO IX MR Wagon with a 5 speed auto transmission.

There are more Subaru models with auto transmission than evo models. I'm sure you could find a lot of Subarus with auto.

I've been driving Evos since 2 years and would also like to get my hands on a Auto version.

I just think of the initial expense of those cars and limited resale. Pumping out lot's of power from a four cyl engine can also prove problematic in Texas heat. Good luck.
