You're questions says you want to have a child and not specifically that you want to CARRY a child, so I would certainly say a gestation surrogate and IVF is the route for you.

You'll need to find a surrogate and a reproductive endocrinologist who can do the IVF part. Just search for fertility clinics in your area.

It will be expensive. IVF cycles are anywhere from $8,000-$20,000 per cycle depending on what special needs you may have. If you do not have a partner, you will need to include sperm donor fees. The average gestational surrogate fee is $15,000, but some will do it for less. Many people choose to ask friends or family they are close to in order to save the GS fee.

I know that sounds like a lot of money, but if you are unable to come up with it now, the good news is that you are young and your eggs will still be good for a while. You could save for 5 years and would very likely still have good eggs. I know that won't get you a baby now, but it is better than nothing.

As others have mentioned, adoption is an option, and you'd probably spend about the same amount as you would trying through IVF and a GS, but you would have a better chance of ending up with a baby for sure through adoption.

It is up to you, but now is the time to start planning. I wish you the best of luck!

It's possible, you need a surrogate, check around your family to see if anyone there will do it for you, make sure to get the surrogate to sign a contract giving the baby to you, get a lawyer for this. Then you go and have some eggs removed for IVF, which get fertilized by your partner's sperm(or a sperm donor if you lack a partner). Then the embryo gets put into the surrogate, and once it sticks, the baby will start growing, 9 months later you have a baby.

So it's possible, a little harder, but very possible.

I am sorry to say this but you cannot carry a baby without a uterus. You could consider a surrogate or perhaps adoption.
I know how difficult it is to want a baby so badly. Good luck to you.

It's medically impossible to carry a baby w/o a uterus...sorry. I have never heard of anyone being born w/o a uterus before, maybe have it removed but not born w/o it.

Without a uterus, you cannot carry a pregnancy. Sorry.

But if you have ovaries that function, you could conceive a biological child through a surrogate.

You could have a biological child by finding a surrogate mother to carry your embryos for you.

Sweetie, you need to consult a Dr. for this kind of question! Don't get depressed over it, if it turns out you can't have your own children, just remember how many unwanted children are out there - make one of the yours.

Science has made it so a man could carry a baby, so I don't see why you couldn't, however it would cost a lot of money. You might be better off having a surrogate mother carry an embryo made from your egg and your partner's sperm. Might check with your health insurance they might cover some costs considering your situation. Good luck to you, and cheer up! You will have a baby :)

Talk to your doctor. He or she is far more qualified to discuss your options with you, than a bunch of yahooers on Answers.
