I asked this question a couple days or so ago and got an email back saying it was "not actionable" by Yahoo and was deleted. I was not being critical about Yahoo in any way. I just get frustrated when these pages will not close for me, and simply asked for suggestions on how to prevent it or what I should do.

Use a pop up blocker, they are usually ads that your don't need. Sometimes your Internet carrier has pop up blocker or your added security has it. Usually places like yahoo, hot-mail and such do not. They say they have it but they do let some ads through. By what means do they use to judge what ads are appropriate and which are not, I do not know.
