a teacher posted a list of the names of all the people who got F's on the board, and your name was one of them? I had a teacher who did that once. I wasn't one of the people, but still, that's just wrong!

that wasn't college. it was middle school. and the other day, a girl got a whole section wrong in a quiz, and the teacher was yelling at her in front of the entire class.

What's the point of doing something like that ... like you said: that's just wrong. It's not going to do anything but embarrass the student. Is this a new teacher? Someone inexperienced?

I would be mad even if my name wasn't on it. I feel bad for people when teachers do that. That's just wrong.
I had a teacher who would pass out the tests highest score to lowest score. He would also put the scores on the board and tell how many of each score there was. So if you paid close enough attention you knew what everyone grade in the class was.

You can't shame anyone for anything nowadays. It follows along the same lines as political correctness because woe to the person who speaks the truth [especially a moral truth] yet hurts someones poor feelings or humiliates them in front of others.
I guess the high schools are going to do away with class rankings including valedictorian and salutatorian. That's all right, there are plenty of motivated hard-working people from overseas who would love to come to the United States and aren't afraid of the competition.

I am 57 years old. I had a teacher who did that. My name was on the board. One time she put up all the A's B's on a bulletin board with flowers all around it. Then people who got C's and D's she put them up on another bulletin board with weeds all around them. The people who got F's she but it up on the board all in black, and paraded the whole class to go around and look at it. Very humiliating.

I would be very embarrass and yet angry at the same time.
Rachael is right. It's against the law if your in college to let everyone see your score...but some classes still does that...instead of names it's ur school ID#.

they should not do that but then again my uni does the same it posts on the board who passes and fails that would be the best way rather than grades. t

I would have made a list of teachers i hate, and ill put her my NUMBER 1.........then shell see how it feels like.

isnt that illegal? thats personal and shouldnt be posted for everyone to see. that teacher should be fired, i'd talk to someone about it.
