Paris Hilton wants to be exempt from breaking the law, there is an article about where have all of the tv viewers gone, etc....

Gees, some accountability please!! Hey Paris, try abiding by the law and serve your 45 days!! And tv executives, make some good tv instead of this reality stuff or the same pilots over and over again...

I know this isn't a question, but i'm just irritated with all of this. Yahoo took away the discussion boards so I have no other avenue. Why can't people just take responsibility for themselves? Why can't tv execs come up with something better? Our society is headed in the wrong direction....

Thanks for letting me vent....

Hi Cheshire, People with a lot of money think they are above the law and money can buy them anything. Usually this works but Paris has gotten away with to much and needs to serve her time. I would like to shake the judges hand on sentences her 45 days i think it should of be more. At least the judge had enough BALLS to put her behind bars where she belongs. LOL LOL.
A Friend.

I agree, and you'll find so does a significant proportion of the public.

But what you have to ask yourself are the following:

1. Why do you watch tv? It's obviously rubbish, designed around selling junk.

2. Have you attmempted to form a forum, or a pressure group to air your views and those of others?

3. It's obvious that Hilton is a fool. Why do you care?

I'm with you, hon. I Tivo most everything I watch and that's not much. Too much crap. I watch Newsradio, Poirot, Bones, Midsomer Murders, Are You Being Served, The Red Green Show and that's about it.

We're living in a world where people with money assume they are above the law and sometimes it sure seems that way. O.J. Simpson...... Michael Jackson...... Jane Fonda...

We have become a society of non-responsibility.
If some-one steals something, it is because they are poor, or had a bad childhood, or were drunk or on drugs, but because of this, they think they should not be held accountable. The rich and famous have always felt that they deserve "Special" consideration, And No Parent will ever admit , that their kid could have done something wrong.

Until society rebels, and demands accountability from all people, things will only get worse.

I don't think it's society.

I think it's "some" parents not teaching their children very early on about accepting the consequences for their actions.

The result of this are people like Paris Hilton who thinks the law doesn't apply to them.

"Kids are different today,"
I hear ev'ry mother say
Mother needs something today to calm her down
And though she's not really ill
There's a little yellow pill
She goes running for the shelter of a mother's little helper
And it helps her on her way, gets her through her busy day

"Things are different today,"
I hear ev'ry mother say
Cooking fresh food for a husband's just a drag
So she buys an instant cake and she burns her frozen steak
And goes running for the shelter of a mother's little helper
And two help her on her way, get her through her busy day

Doctor please, some more of these
Outside the door, she took four more
What a drag it is getting old

"Men just aren't the same today"
I hear ev'ry mother say
They just don't appreciate that you get tired
They're so hard to satisfy, You can tranquilize your mind
So go running for the shelter of a mother's little helper
And four help you through the night, help to minimize your plight

"Life's just much too hard today,"
I hear ev'ry mother say
The pusuit of happiness just seems a bore
And if you take more of those, you will get an overdose
No more running for the shelter of a mother's little helper
They just helped you on your way, through your busy dying day

You're welcome. I agree. Wouldn't it be "funny" if 80% of people were dissatisfied with the way TV runs and has no sense of responsibility and none of us did anything about it except whinge to friends....

Hmmm. Maybe someone else will do something. I'm too busy/lazy. (Yawn)

I agree with you 100%. However, your question of what is wrong with people today is because people have abandoned God and fixated on doing what makes them feel good. There is no accountability anymore and even though people are going to prison, that still isn't enough of a threat.

The bible talks about turning people over to a reprobate mind. And since God gives us all a choice, we have in all actuality brought all of this mess on ourselves. It's like everything goes.

People like Paris feel they're money will save them from almost everything, which in the past it probably has. However, maybe this will teach them all a lesson.
