Number----GCF
12,3---------3
a² , a--------a
x^5 , x²------x²
y^7 , y²------y²

GCF = 3ax²y² (which agrees with your answer)

3ax²y²(4ax^3y^5 - 1)

When I finished I got

3ax^2y^2(4ax^3y^5-1)

which I think is the same as what you got, so either we are both wrong or we are both right. haha
