I am a legal assistant and work for an attorney's office. Your divorce is final. Once a Judge signs the Default Judgment that makes it final. The county where you filed for divorce might have a website available for you to check anything filed with the court you can go on there and see if your case has been Disposed which mean it has been completed or you can call the court clerk and ask them if your case has been finalized.

i know financial siutoatons occur, but being your own attorney really isnt a good idea and cost you a lot more in the long run... these re the kinds of things you need to knwo so you dont miss a deadline and get screwed. id pay an hourly fee to an attorney to ask this questoin. it will be worth ti. if not sign up for prepaid legal and you can call the 1800 # and ask qs for free. Also have you tried a reputable divorce yourself guide for your state?

I think once it's signed by the judge and entered. You'd think your attorney would tell you...but NOOOOOOooooo. I swear, when the divorce begins you want to shoot your spouse, by the time its over, you want to hit your attorney in the head with a brick!!!! But I'm not bitter...

Sounds like you're divorced to me. If in doubt, call either the court, or your attorney.

"request to enter "
Sounds more like the beginning rather than the end.

First you get papers saying 'decree absolute' somewhere. A month and a day later you get your 'decree nisi'. Then it's over.
