I'm sorry that your not enjoying your experience. I've lived here practically my whole life and I couldn't be happier. When I lived in California previously, I probably had the same negative experience that you had. I think that when you become use to a certain place growing up and then you move it takes a while to get used to the new place. A lot also depends on your attitude. When I moved from Hawaii to California I went there with a somewhat depressed attitude. Needless to say, that didn't help me to enjoy myself in California.
I will agree with you on your one point about haoles. I find it rather depressing and sickning that white people are picked on as much as they are in Hawaii. Unfortunately, it seems that some families continue to perpetuate the anti-White attitude so that their kids develop the same racist views. I hope that you learn to look past this small group of bad people and see the beauty of Hawaii. Most people here are very friendly and its a great experience to learn from all the different races and ethnicities. In any case, I hope you enjoy your future home in South Korea.

I love Hawaii. When I was there I stayed at Waikiki. The shopping there is excellent its not too expensive U can easily find some really nice things, great deals & cheap souvenirs. Not only is Hawaii breath takingly beautiful & their history & culture is fascinating, the hula dance is shocking, U literally walk way blown away! (The islanders are very conceited about this & will blow U off On the other hand the bus drivers are extremely rude and can literally ruin your day. U will probably want to rent a car anyways because the bus doesn't always stop at every scenic stop & believe me U will want to get out & see everything! Another thing I didn't enjoy was the weather. It is too hot (for me) to enjoy anything. (I went in September.) I really wasn't expecting it 2 B that hot. So don't pack a coat or sweater. For me at night it was way too hot & it seemed to be even hotter at night. I was looking forward to a cool night breeze, there is none! Next time I'm going in Feburary!
