How are the following equaions equivalent (work is appreciated)

1/2ah+1/2bh

Factor out 1/2h = 1/2h(a+b)

2nd is the same since its (a+b)h divided by 2

3rd is what the first line is in factored form.

1. 1/2ah+1/2bh
take out 1/2h and you have 1/2h(a+b) which is equivalent to the third equation.
2. (a+b)h

is the same as 1(a+b)h
-----------

which is equivalent to saying 1/2h(a+b)

3.(a+b)1/2=1/2 ah +1/2 bh which is the first problem again .
