As you get more experience you edit out the things you've done and seen over and over, so only novel things really register. The older you get, the less new things you encounter. Months were ages, summers were forever. Now, five years can go by for me in a blink. You really have to work to make each day count.

Yeah, time does seem to speed up. I can't believe it's May already! It's probably a combination of your physical brain maturation (adults on the whole are much more patient than children) mixed with the fact that you've got more abstract problems as an adult. Kids live more in their senses because they rarely have looming worries and responsibilities. A half-hour in front of the TV is unmitigated by worries about bills, relationships, tommorrow, etc. It's all there is in that moment.

Plausible...But I think childhood goes so much slower because you are trapped in school for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. That's just my theory...But yes, since I've grown older, I notice that time goes by too fast!

It may seem time passes faster as you get older because you have more responsibilities and more knowledge and more to think about. You are so busy with all this...then you are like 'where did the time go' and 'time is making fools of us again.' When you are young, you know nothing...your brain is quite empty...so you sit there bored...that makes time seem murderously slow.

It sounds like he's green with envy via fact he thinks you took some thing from him: time, little ones, the opportunities he could've had with different women. My suggestion may appear previous formed, submissive and counterintuitive, yet back off. The extra you attempt to resolve what's occurring, the extra green with envy he will experience, if that's what he feels. it somewhat is nuts, it hurts and it somewhat is hard, yet you need to easily and concisely tell him which you adore him, that he's been a great ultimate pal for the previous 3 years and which you have relatively been harm by his habit presently. bypass away it at that. do no longer call or bypass to him. steer away from a number of his calls. shop your self busy and notice what happens. I comprehend you does no longer desire your dating to end this sort if it somewhat is definitely the top. He desires time to think of approximately what he's doing, what he's complete and who you're in his lifestyles. he's clearly drained and is asking for some thing exciting, ego boosting and new. permit him omit you. sturdy success.

It is more the world we live in. Everything is speeding up faster. And when you get older, you take more notice of everything around you, so things seem to move faster.

you're not crazy. last year my 8th grade history teacher said: "life is like a roll of toilet paper. the closer you get to the end, the faster it goes." and he's like 45 so he would know. plus my opinion is that, let's say you're 5 years old and a year passes, that year was 20% of your age, so it went slow. now let's say you're 50 and a year goes by. that year was only 2% of your age, so it goes by more quickly. it makes sense i think.

You could make a good argument with that theory. I hate but you are right. Time is going so fast now.
