Massive Air-Flow had to be replaced and the bulbs burnt out quickly and the list kept going on and on... PLEASE HELP!!! THANK YOU!!!

avoid volkswagon like a plague they are just too crude and unreliable. you will be much better off in a well maintained 123 body Mercedes[240-300] while these are aging they still hold value and reliability that a "modern" v w will never come close to. and for 15k i know that i can purchase and keep a 123 body running well for 15+ years or about 3 times the average life of a diesel vw

Don't be fooled by those repairs the "everyone " has. That is a typical Consumer reports scare tactic. They occur in less that 1% of the cars. Volkswagen Jetta/Golf/Beetle and Passat TDI's a re notoriously indestructible cars that will egularly give you 50 miles per gallon or more, and last for around 300,000 miles when properly cared for.

VW are not famous for their reliability,
Mercedes are much better in that term.
Look for Volvo too, they produce beautiful cars.
