1/4: divide 4 into 1. First you have to set it up. You have to put a decimal to the right of the 1 and bring it up. Then do the math, 4 goes into 1 zero times, 4 goes into 10 two times with 2 left over, bring down a zero to get 20 and 4 goes into 20 five times, so the answer is .25
3/5 would be .6
5/6 would be .833.....
2/3 would be .666.....

Divide the top number by the bottom.
1/4=0.25
3/5=0.60
5/6=0.83(3 repeating)
2/3=0.66(6 repeating)
Also, you could think of it as money.
ex.1/4 of $1 is .25 cents.
