I guess it can, but it would have to be well thought out. It's true at one time the City had three teams, but two of them ultimately left. There were many reasons for this, one being that teams not nearly as good in other parts of the country were outdrawing them. And I agree with the person above me who said the Mets and Yankees would never allow it - and they would have to agree to it for it to become a reality.

I know NYC could support anothe team. Back when the Dodgers and Giants were playing in NY that was about as good of rivalry as NYY and BOS. I being a Mets fan would love to have a rivalry like that and plus insted of putting in it in Brooklyn why don't put in Long Island??

It did before, it could again. If not the city proper, than northern New Jersey could host a team. The Yankees and Mets will never allow it, though.

With the money up there it could work. However the Mets and Yankees would fight it to the end. We all know the Yankees control Baseball. :)

Yeah right. unless a team goes to Buffalo because they have many fans but they would probably do better with an expansion team in he AL.
