At age 13, I wanted to have a job where I worked in an office, with a desk. I wanted to have a title, and a name plate on my desk. I wanted to be somebody. I did not specify any job or career because I had no idea what I would do when I grew up.
I am grown up now and I got everything I wanted at age 13. My career is working for the government.
PS, In high school, I was not a football player or basketball player, I did not have a part time job, and I did not have rich parents. I WANTED to date the pretty girls, but they would not even talk to me; not part of the "in crowd," ie sports or money, and I was very shy. So I wanted to marry a model when I grew up.
I married a model. 30 years of marriage and counting...

I wanted to be an art teacher as long as I knew but once I got to college the way they run the school system and the way my brother has such a hard time doing well because of the way things are run really disillusioned me from wanting to teach the way that is now. Plus I saw unhappy art teachers teaching subjects they didnt even study because of overcrowding and cutbacks.
I want to still be an artist but it would really take something big to get me to want to teach again. Never say never though.

a nurse like my mom because I didnt really figure I could cut it being a mechanic like my dad. But ended up doin the nurse thing awhile then a stay at home mom and LOVE it

well i wanted to be a veternarian. but now i want to be a criminal investigator or do something in the science field or with computers. but to do any of that i gotta finish high school.
