I believe in them but i have never seen one, but my three yr old daughter does all the time!
Signs of her gifts came from when she was very young, although we were not looking at the time, it is only upon reflection that i remember them. She would always 'talk' to things unseen, and to the animals and even the plants! The strange thing was the animals actually seemed to talk back!!She has this great natural born affinity with them, and would cry her little heart out over any hurt animal, and woe to anyone who wanted to trim a hedge!!
When we would put her to bed at night she would just chatter away untill very late at night, she wouldent cry as if she did not want to be in bed, she would just talk talk talk for hours afterwards, she still does this and will be awake most nights untill aprox 11pm....Then when she began to speak, she spoke of the" little butterflys that looked like people with wings" Faerys!! She told us that they come into her romm at nigh and sit on the roof and teach her things, and sometimes they annoy her because they wake her up and wont let her go to sleep. She tells us now (she is 3.5) that they teach her" how to be good and nice and to fix people and animals and grow plants for them...and other 'stuff'" She made us make her a special garden for the faeries and chose all her own plants and things to put there, like windchimes and a little fountain and sparkly things and pretty glass stones etc...funnily enough she did not only want flowers there are herbs there too....she said her faery teachers told her to make it...We are in the middle of a drought and we can use minimal water here at the moment yet this little garden continues to flourish even with little water....
Recently as in the begining of this year, she started to practise what is i think, from doing a bit of research, a form of reki healing....she will instintivly find a person(or animals!!0 pain and place her hand on them, and the pain deminnishes...i have experienced this my self, the most remarkable thing she has done is to find the problem a friend of mine has...Ellie knows nothing of this, (being too young to undwerstand where babies come from) My friend has had ovarian cysts and endomitriitis, and is trying to concieve a baby, without much sucess...anyway Ellie started sittting next to this friend and putting her hand over her stomach and just sitting like that and when finished a few minutes later she says "do you feel better now?" We hope she is making some positive changes for this friend, and are waiting to see what happens.....Also after she does this to someone she often just flops down and either has a sleep or just rests, i found out that people are often tired after performing healing because it is very draining....Ellie 'heals everything and i often see her with her hand on our dog or her big brothers scrapped knee ( big brother even asks her now to make him feel better, as he has had experience with it actually working!)
Her other gifts include accurate preminitions....she is about 75 % accurate ....she will often tell us something often quite mundane like daddy is buying milk at the shop) and home comes daddy with a carton of milk...or that her grandparents are going to ring that night(and they do)etc...but sometimes it is a much more serious thing like the time she totally freaked out about her Daddy going down town to grab something from the shops...she told him that if he went "a car would bump into him and he would get a bleeding head" Her dad stayed home at her request saying if she was that freaked out he would nip down while she was having her nap... Any way it turned out that an elderly driver had backed out in front of the shop where he was going to and caused a pile up of cars at the time he would of been there..
One othe rtime that springs to mind is when she woke in the night crying her little heart out saying "Aunty Melly needs me!! Shes very sad" she got sooo hysterical that we decided to ring her aunty so she could reassure her even though it was about midnight...and we found a very upset and crying aunty on the phone!! Ellie seems to have some kind of Phsycic connection with this aunt who happens to see the faeries too,,,,They often astral travel in their dreams.....funny story her dad being the skeptic that he was decided to "test them" one time when aunty was visiting...he seperated them first thing one morning and aske them both if they had met up as planned and what was said and done......he got identical answers!!! Daddy can remember when his sister(aunty) would talk of the faerys when she was little too...
Ellie seems to have memories of past lives, often going into great detail about things including having to "put petrol in her fridge..when she was big"...i did not know at the time but a few months later something came on tv about kerrosene fridges that were used here in Australia, before power!! Other things convince me of this too, like how she was at the cemetary with me one day and insisted on going "over there where i was when i was big" curious i followed and she led me directly to the grave of a long dead relative....
What all this means i am not sure but i continue to watch in awe as she grows...

Listening to and noticing fairies (or faeries), is simply a matter of awareness. They tend to be fond of people who seek them out and if you put the effort into it you will often find they put just as much effort into making themselves appear to you. http://www.psychic-junkie.com/mystical-fairies.html

I believe in them. I have seen faerie orbs. They like to flit in and out of my periphial visions, but I have not seen faeries without their protective orbs.
