Okay, in these problems you want to get the x by itself on one side of the inequality sign. So you would subtract x from both sides and you get 1/3-3/2x<3/2. Next you have to subtract the 1/3 from both sides and you get -3/2x<7/6. Next you have to multiply both sides by -2/3 and you get x<-7/9, but remember when you multiply or divide both sides by a negative number you have to switch the direction of the inequality sign so your final answer is x>-7/9

As you have written it:-
1/3 - x/2 < x + 3/2
2 - 3x < 6x + 9
- 7 < 9x
x > - 7 / 9

You may have meant:- ?
1/3 - x/2 < (x + 3) / 2
2 - 3x < 3x + 9
6x > - 7
x > - 7 / 6

Hope one of above fits the bill!
