look for factors of 3 that add up to 4, not exactly a long search.

(m+1)(m+3)

(m + 1)(m + 3) is your answer.

m x m = m squared
(3 x m) + (1 x m) = 4m
1 x 3 = 3

This just takes practice. The quickest thing is to find the factors for the last number that add up to the middle one. Then it's not that hard.

Once you're through Algebra and can do it fast you should literally be set for life (depending on what you want to do). So I hope that helped you!

Note the coefficient of m^2 is 1 and the constant is 3.

So what factors of 1*3 = 3 add up to 4,, which is the coefficient of m.

That answer is +3 and +1
So the factorization is
m^2 + m + 3m + 3
= m*(m + 1) + 3*(m+1)
= (m + 3) * (m + 1)

because m^2 has no coefficient you just put it in
(m + )(m + )
now just find factors of three that add up to four
1 and 3
(m + 1)(m + 3)
