You guys voted for Democrats because you want to see a change in Iraq and to end the war. The Democrats have responded by passing non-binding resolutions and pork bill resolutions to buy votes so Queen Pelosi can "micromanage" the war. The Democrats have the ability to stop the war, but won't. They are more interested in making a political point (confronting Bush), than actually doing what they promised to do. And before you get carried away, Congress will give the President what he wants. Just ask Hillary, Pelosi, and Reid who have already drastically stepped back from previous positions.

Nick F - Buy votes like they did with the first resolution. More spinach and peanut factories.

I like them, they have voted to pass the majority of what they said they would when they were elected and they have been working toward a timeline, which is actually what MOST democrats ran on... not to directly end the war...
0-2 in knowing what you're talking about when asking a question...

So far I am pleased. They are giving Bush a chance to exit gracefully; and at least we have conversation going on, bills coming to the floor for a debate, Bush actually had to veto something because congress is no longer just lying down and obeying him. Give it time, this is a process. Don't be so sure the pres gets it all his way ever again.

I voted straight Republican. The Dems offer nothing I want. They think that if they appease Radical Islam, they'll get an exemption from the chopping block. Of course Radical Islam savors the opportunity to control every aspect of our lives. Dittos for Democrats. I guess that's why they fit together so well!

I thought Harry & Nancy said the country gave them the power to end the war.they sent GW a resolution they knew he would veto so they could do their 30 second sound bite.they seem good at shooting their mouth off but not very good at getting things done.

and we all know that's meaningless as the republicans are going to stand firm with bush on this

I didn't vote Dumbocrat. I think the junk legislation they pushed in the "first 100 hours" was a joke and that's where they ran out of steam.
