I love it w/a can of drained tuna & half a can of drained peas. The best way to make the sauce is to pour the macaroni in the colander & while it's draining, pour the milk & add the butter to the pan, heat to a low boil, then add the sauce mix. Stir well - the sauce will be as smooth as silk - and add the mac & stir-ins.

Ditto the cheese comment-I usually toss in Monterey Jack or a boatload of parmesan/romano mix.
Try boiling the mac with a few shakes of garlic salt & Mrs. Dash for a "herby Italian" taste. Also crumbled hamburger works wonders.
*stomach growling* :o)

you could upload something you pick to mac and cheese. i like mushrooms and green onions in it, additionally ham. the ideal mac and cheese i've got ever had became at a pot success artwork party. a woman I labored with made hers with a number of distinctive cheeses--something alongside the strains of colby, cheddar and muenster, and it became crowned off with a bread crumb crust. If I have been eating it on my own i might upload greater vegetables or something like William Maxwell Aitken or tuna. it truly is honestly pasta, cheese and milk, so which you will upload something you think of might style sturdy with that.

Seasoning salt, try it, it is YUMMY! Only on Kraft macaroni though, doesn't taste good on the generic stuff. And it has to be Lawry's Seasoning salt.

a little bit of butter and a lot of milk....it makes it extra cheesey. You can also add cooking oil and stick it in a pan and make fried mac and cheese. It rocks!
