seems like a lot of people already know somethings happening with our world..Can someone put in a nutshell what is going on????

Essentially the same folks who predicted the collapse of civilization at the beginning of 2000, the destruction of Los Angeles by massive earthquake in 1982 due to the "Jupiter effect", the global catastrophes caused by the planetary alignment of 5/5/200, and other non-events, have applied their ample imaginations to the fact that the Mayan calendar expires at the winter solstice in 2012. As a result, they are predicting everything from spiritual renaissance to the end of the world. Not to worry; in early 2013 they'll explain that the Galactic Council has decided to give us yet one more chance. Meanwhile, feel free to have a spiritual renaissance; no need to wait for 2012. Throw in a little rational thought and you'll be okay.

The mayan calendar ends on december 21 2012 so people think thats when the world will end...Theres some websites that have more info...put them in sources

Myan calendars have ages. This current age/calendar is due to end in 2012 so for some reason everyone thinks the world will end.
It won't, should the Myans still be around today a new calendar would have been written with another end date some time in the not so distant future.

Refer your local library or bookstore book title "The Mayan Prophesies" or "The Mayan Calendar" it will tell you all about it.
There are many things said - no it can't be put into a nutshell except to say "what will be will be"

Look, if the mayans knew ANYTHING, they would probably still be around. I mean seriously, how could the end of their calendar mean anything if they're all long gone and none are around to see it?
I say, sans the Mayans, their calendar is just a little obsolete and needs to be ended!

all i know is that my friend told me something about the calendar ending so supposively thats when the end of the world is cause the mayans knew everything. ? i don't know how right that is.
