I love "Heaven Knows" by Pre-Fab Sprout and "Melt with you" by Modern English. Also at the end of "A star is born" when Barbra Streisand sings "With One more look at you/Watch closely know"
But I'd have to say the Streisand song is my favorite.

...there are a handful of songs, off the top of my head...songs of lost/unrealized love, devotion and sacrifice...that when this so-called 'manly man' hears them, he starts blubbering and sobbing like a kid who lost his puppy to a mack truck!!!

I grew up with my Mom repeatedly listening to the original motion picture soundtrack of Streisand's "A Star is Born" (one of her favorite movies), and I gotta admit, even to this day, even I get all blubbery when I hear "With One More Look At You"!!!
...but don't tell anyone, O.K.???
...speaking of "A Star is Born", did you know that Streisand wanted Elvis to play the part Kris Kristofferson eventually got? The Colonel wouldn't let his do it, because he was afraid it would ruin his image.
...would have been real interesting, wouldn't you say???
