you are talking about apples and oranges here....

Stick with PC....you won't regret it.

Mac runs a Unix OS....a PC can run Windows, Linux, and other operating systems....

I personally found using a Apple after using PC for so long very difficult, but is one of those things that if you use it everyday, you will soon get use to it, have to admit that Mac are much more polished than the lastest Vista Windos.

Either one can work for you, another major factor is what software you will run on it, the PC has a much bigger if not huge range of software to choose from

depends what you want to use them for. If you want to play games and basic uses like writting college papers, email, IM and browsing the internet save your grandpa a couple thousand and get a PC.

If you want to create graphic art, edit pictures or compose/edit music then get a mac.

I'd stay just stick with a PC if that's what you're use to (although whatever school you go to will have an IT department that can help you) unless your planned major after graduation requires you to use mac.

I switched to mac it was hard for about a week then it got better now its really easy. I regret having windows for the past 13 years of my life.

The difference is that PC users who use windows usually get viruses if they don't have virus blocking software. While the Mac has is virus free because it doesn't run windows.

They're very easy to use. A little tip, just pick up a copy of "OS X for Dummies" and you'll be running like a pro in no time.
