Read motivational books ...
Basically, a person won't buy for 3 reasons:
- No Money
- No trust in the Product
- No trust in the Sales Rep
They will sell to you that they have a problem with one of those things. Do you buy their excuse, or do they buy your product? (Don't accept the first 3 "No's")
Identifying their main objection is always good. Check sales books on that. (eg. ask, "May I ask you ... what was the reason you didn't get one? It looked like you liked it. Was there something wrong with the +product? Is it the wrong ++timing for you? Or ... I didn't do something +++wrong, did I?" - Get a piece of paper, write 1 to 10 down the side, write each objection beside a number, and ask if there are any more. Then ask if you could answer those objections, is there something else that would stop them buying today? -

If they only come up with 4 objections, it looks like you are willing to answer 10 of them. If you can answer them, they already agreed to buy
+Product knowledge ...
++Payment plans
+++(they don't want to insult you ... they'll say no)
Of course, the best source of customers are previous happy customers.
After a good sale, get back to those guys and say you are doing a follow up to see if everything is ok, or if they have any questions ...
... answer things you told them about the product that they forgot, then ...
"Oh, by the way ...", and ask for referrals of anyone else who you could call to see if they wanted one.

first of all you have to have tried the product and are enthusiastic about it because it has worked for you. Figure out why it worked and tell others about that. In my opinion there are two parts to a sale, selling yourself and your product and closing the sale. Many people can do the legwork but can't ask in essence "how many of these widgets would you like today" or "which credit card do you want me to use", or "which color of these widgets would you prefer".
Bear in mind that it's common for a customer to buy because they are sold by the salesman but they 're not interested in the product. But usually if you can find a use or a need for the product in their house, in their life (i.e. how can the product make their life easier or better, etc.) you have a sale.
Studies have proven that the looks of the salesman really do count. Good looking, well dressed, tall people sell best.

There are tons of books at your local library
that will help with increasing your sales.
I have a friend who has read over 100 books.
She has applied the info well enough to earn
more than 3x what I make.
1.read the books/info.
2.take notes.
3.refer to knotes often.
4.apply the information to yourself.
5.never stop learning more.
good luck!

Sales is a numbers games - you have to see a lot of people and you have to develop a schtick and be able to read people.
