I only asked her for $10 and used my own money for the rest of the day. What's the big deal?

Everyone else hit the nail on the head. Also, I don't entirely know your family situation, but I know going to Disney with my family was always a special time to have fun as a family. Or she could have used your help with a younger sibling. I was just at Disneyland a month or so ago and let me tell you - the arcade games were old and over priced. Next time I would highly recommend checking out the park, it's a total blast.

Well, everyone else has pretty much said the same thing I am going to say.
She didn't only give you $10. She spent around $60 for the ticket to get into Disneyland.
Since the family went together, she was hoping for a family day spent together not apart.
I'd be mad too! It's really too bad for you, because you missed out on a lot of great rides. Hope the arcade was fun, but I guarantee you would have enjoyed the park so much more. Next time, spend the day with your family. When you grow up, you will wish you had these family days back again.

She was mad because you were surrounded by things to do that is a priveledge. Not everyone gets to go to Disneyland, it's a fun place. Arcades are everywhere. You can even play video games at home. You should get your money's worth out of the tickets you bought (which where probably expenisive...). Otherwise, I see it as just throwing money away. It's like you playing in a regular arcade and just simply giving a random person your Disney ticket. Same results for you, happier results for someone else. Moral of story is, go to arcades that are on free property, the places you don't have to pay to get into. But, on the other hand, I am a huge video gamer... and you should totally go to Disney World in Florida and check out Disney Quest. It is totally a 5 story virtual reality/arcade. I do spend a LOT of time there when I go to Disney, but the majority of mine is spent in the parks.

Your parents probably spent a lot of money to take you guys to Disneyland, and you blew the day at the arcade, when you could have gone to an arcade by your home, I'm assuming.

Disneyland is an expensive place to go and you can go to an arcade at home. When your mom took you to Disneyland she probably intended that you would go on rides like Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Pirates Of The Caribbean etc. You should really appreciate what she paid for and save the arcade games for home. You should apologize for what you did. Hope this helps! Moe

Disneyland tickets run around $40. You could have gone to an arcade at home. It's your loss, really, though. You could have been going on some pretty awesome rides, but you wasted your time in the arcade. She just wanted you to make the most of your time, especially since she shelled out money for it. After all, what did she pay for?

Wow.
Unbelievable.
I'd be pissed also.
Tickets cost $63. Not only that, but its such a hassle to go to Disneyland. Instead of going on rides, touring, whatever-you go to the arcade. You missed out on a great park and thats a shame that you would waste money and time to go to an arcade.
You should apologize. I'd be pissed if I were your mom.

Because your ticket likely cost her $63 (the regular price for a one day ticket) and you can go to an arcade ANYWHERE, but you can only go on Space Mountain at DISNEYLAND!

Because you spent the whole day playing game and did not go on any of the good rides there.
