Problem: Gas Mileage

The problem I have is that when I take the mower to the gas station and ride back I can only mow for a few mintes because I only have enough gas to ride back to the station for more gas. I called John Deere and they don't sell a larger tank, I make sure the tires are filled up and the oil is changed to get the best mileage. I thought about putting in my truck but it's too big...it's 25 HP! Sometimes when I've over mowed I only make part way to the station before it runs out...so I have it down that I can mow for 7 minutes before I have to get more gas...it takes numerous trip just to cut my grass.

any suggestions

Get a gas can and duct tape it to the mower higher than the installed gas tank. Drill a hole near the bottom and put a fuel line fitting into it. Run the hose to the installed tank. Now you have unlimited fuel capacity. You can mow, get beer, go to the tavern and the gas station on one fill up. Have you ever watched the "RED Green show? He would have figured this out in a heart beat.

stop driving for refills ,get a can Otherwise make sure you have no leaks, has the mower been tuned up , are the gas lines good , ETC as far as driving onto truck Make Ramps. You have not told us how far the service station is or the land you are mowing so this is the best I can do

Go to your local walmart store, and buy a couple of 10 gallon gas cans. Fill them. Leave your lawn mower at home and refill it out of the gas cans.

invest in a gas can. Then take your car to get the gas which will get better mpg and better emmissions than the lawn mower does. You can allways just siphon the gas from your car into the mower also.

Get a big-@$$ gas can, dude. I have a White of similar specs and I can mow all day. you're spending all your gas money rolling the thing out and back because its 25HP, not 25 MPG.

LOL

You need to hire someone to cut your grass. I don't think you are smart enough to do it.
