If you have seen the latest news article about Paris Hilton, her quotes sound like excerpts from a "law for dummies" book. The nuiances of what she says sounds like an educated and sane person, not the normal Paris we are used to everyday.
I think she is worried about herself going to jail and if she shows a bit of regret and remorse, she may get a lighter "mercy" sentence. However, I think it is a bit too late, what do you think?

She is a spoiled brat that thinks that the laws don't apply to her and her quotes were cooked up by her PR people (and as I have said before, they are good...Bush should think about hiring them!) and they probably had to write it phonetically on giant cue cards for her to read.

She has not remorse...she was sentenced to go to jail, yet is still driving on her suspended license even now.

I think it would be a travesty if she got a lighter sentence just because she is in the limelight and can publically beg for forgiveness she doesn't deserve. What about all of the people who won't get a reduced sentenced who truly are ashamed and remorseful and really plan on turning their lives around?

When she goes she will probably be in protective custody for the entire time..and relatively 45 days is not very long in jail time...but it would be interesting to see her in the general prison population should change her attitude

I am really dissapointed in her attorney...he has to represent her zealously...fine...but some of the comments he made about this being a travesty and that the courts made a mockery of the law is dissrespectful to the law and attorneys such as myself...I am ashamed of him...attorneys like him make us all look bad.

Like i said, she'll make money out of this all, the more drama the better the story, you wait and see,
it'll be first a book then a movie, she'll promote designer clothes in and out of court, make prison uniforms a fashion statement!
God I hope she goes to jail, get her in the real world for a change. Have you seen her in Opera, she has her once on the show, AIR HEAD i tell you.
Anyway its all an act I think, just so she'll get out of trouble.

Her attorney, Richard Hutton, wrote that statement and her publicist, Elliot Mintz, released it to the media. Paris didn't graduate from high school and doesn't have an intelligent thought in her head. Like you, she is incapable of putting together a decent sentence.
