FIFTH Grade? You are WAY TOO YOUNG to be going to dances. Wait until you are in seventh or eighth grade for dances.

FIFTH GRADE? You are way too young to be "slow dancing"
FIFTH GRADE? You are way too young for any of the activities you described in your question.

Now, get off the computer RIGHT NOW and read a book. The new Harry Potter is coming out soon. Review the last one and get ready to dive into the new one as soon as it is out!

You are too young to participate in Yahoo Answers. The minimum age is FOURTEEN.

Your school administrators need someone to "slap them silly" for hosting a DANCE for grade schoolers.

Your are being pushed into behavior and activities reserved for kids a good five to six years older. Wait until you are in middle school or high school to worry about dances, boyfriends, etc. There will be more than enough drama when you get to middle school and high school.

There will be many more dances ahead and opportunities to get to know people better.

When I was in fifth grade (hmm... 1971), we didn't even have 5th grade dances.

My recommendation to you is this: Get a notebook and record 10 things that went right with this dance. What good things happened.

Then, after that, list the 5 biggest things that went wrong with this dance, BUT, list ways that things could have gone better. WHat could you have done... or what will you do differently... to make things turn out better?

That way, instead of fretting about what is now "the past," you can focus on the good memories, while learning from the bad ones and preparing for your 6th grade dance.

Summer's almost here... no time to waste stewing on the past.

Woah hun. Slow down. Believe me...in like 8th grade and in highschool is when these things really begin to matter. All this is right now is kindergarden stuff. And you calling your friend a slut is a little mature for you isnt it? I mean gosh when I was in 5th grade I didn't even say heck....now ya'll are grinding and saying words like slut....woah. What has happen to ya'll fast little kids? Oh and what is your question exactly? This is why little kids shouldn't get on Yahoo! Answers....can't even put together a simple question but calling people sluts....ha.

=] hope you and ur slutty friend "bridge the gap"
Oh and slow yo roll with that boy hunny. you got a whole lot of time to wait for that.

hey dont worry!!! Your young and dont need to worry about boys or dances or any of that!!! Anyone who even has a boyfriend or girlfriend when your in fifth is nuts. I was in fifth grade about 3 years ago. That's exactly how it was when I was in fifth grade. Just dont get involved with all that boyfriend crap. At our age life is very confusing!! Trust me I know I have moved three times this year. And the boy I fell in love with moved to a different state. And my life seems confusing. Just live your life!!! Even at the worst of times just smile and act like none of it ever happened. When you smile you actually feel better. And the confusing stuff will all go away. SO GO WITH THE FLOW!!!

Well, I'm sorry that your last 5th grade dance wasn't all you hoped for, but just remember, you have many more dances to look forward to in the upcoming years, and from my experience way back in the day, the older you get, the more formal and fun they become. Hope your next dance more than makes up for it!

UHMM, wow. Fifth grade, and callin a friend a slut? Not a good way 2 keep a friendship going. Heres a little advice:
You got in a fight: apologize. even if its not your fault. cuz you well get into drama and it will just be stupid, and immature.
you friend got dumped: im guessing this part, but it was probably only lasting for a week and she liked him for idk, 3 months. just talk 2 her about it, and by next week she will be spying on another guy.
all friends dancing but u: well, nothing you can do about it now. so get over it.
best guy friend likes you: for starters, he probably didnt tell u himself, you probably heard it from a friend. unless you get him 2 tell u himself, dont worry about it. cuz u might get caught up in sumthin that aint even true.

so calm down. u r in fifth grade. jeez.

Don't worry over petty things like school dances. It may seem like a big deal now, but when you get older, you'll realize that it was very insignificant. Concentrate on getting a good education and everything else will fall into place.

There will be lots more dances in your life time , I'm sure there was one thing that was fun, so just think about the fun part. The next dance will be much better I'm sure.

Take a big breath, chill out and do your homework.

Life isn't over yet... a year from now you won't feel so bad, in five years you will have forgotten about it, in ten years unless you live in a small town, you will have forgotten most of those people anyway.
