what are the possible villains for spider-man 4?

What are some possible villians that might be introduced in spider-man 4 and what villains do you think should be in the forth movie?

WARNING: Spider-Man 3 Spoilers ahead:

Carnage might work. If you remember, Dr. Connors still has a sample of "Venom", so maybe through some experimentation or something they get a variant - Carnage? Plus Connors gets to be The Lizard, right? Not sure how they'll pull that one off, but could make for some cool effects.

Somebody has to find the Goblin stuff left back at the Osborne home, so maybe we could get the Hobgoblin or another variation of the Goblin?

They could make that work. I just hope they don't pull a Batman and keep trying to outdo the previous films in terms of the amount of special effects, action sequences, number of villains, etc. That's what killed the Batman series (along with switching the actors).

Sandman could return, and probably should to tie up some plot loose ends. Maybe as an ally to Spider-Man because of the way they left things?

Also, they've introduced the characters Dr. Mendel Stromm (but he was killed, right?) and Astronaut John Jameson, both of whom became villains in the comics.

Personally, I always liked Mysterio in the 60's cartoon series, so I'd like to see him show up. He'd be easy to work into just about any plot.

I read in the little news strip that runs along the bottom of the first few pages in Empire magazines that he planned to use Vulture and the Sinister Syndicate which would be 7 villains! But that was not long after Spiderman 3 and could have just been a complete rumour

Well, if you stay true to the comic book story-line...
Electro, Kraven the Hunter, the Kingpin, the Rhino, and Hammer Head could help spice up his life.

I haven't seen 3 yet, but I know that the Sandman (if that’s his name) is in it. I would say the alligator guy (don't know his name :D), Carnage, Rhino,and the Black Cat!

i would like to think that his one-armed professor, who is supposed to be the Lizard, would be activated. he's been in a couple of movies now and i keep waiting for him to make the change.
