Bonds is a cheater because of steroids. it has nothing to do with race. Look at the votes Mark McGuire got for Hall of Fame last year. Steroids have cost him a chance at getting in.

I think it is more his personality more than anything. I would like to think that most people could care less about race....I want my team to have good players and dont care if they are blue, green, pink, etc. as long as they are good. He is an easy target because he is so surly and doesnt treat a lot of people very well (and he did the unthinkable...sold out other ballplayers over the steroid scandal). People take similar issue with Pete Rose (white...cheater) and again it isnt so much what he did between the lines....it is how he acts off the field. Maybe Rose and Bonds are surrogate brothers!

I don't mind his race. Heck, the greatest homer-hitter of all time is Hank Aaron, and he was the same race as Bonds. I admire Aarons a LOT. What bothers me about Bonds is his steroid use. I refuse to respect ANYONE who cheats. If Bonds is proven innocent of steroid use, then sweetie, you can tell me "I told you so" all ya want. I'll be sorry I disrespected him. But generally, anyone who cheats is basically looked down upon by me. I hate to say it, but if he was white, the criticism wouldn't be as bad. A lot of people go around thinking, "The Civil War ended slavery, Martin Luther King Jr. ended racism," and all that stuff. But no one can say it's completely gone.Racism is passed on from generation to generation. Sadly, racist people can be baseball fans too. And even more sadly, there are a lot of fans who wouldn't be so harsh on Bonds if he was white, Welcome to the cold, frustrating world of reality.

his steroid use look at mark macgwuire hes white but because people tought he used steroids he is not in the hall of fame and people are blasted him. if mark was still playing he get the same treatement that barry bonds gets.Barry bonds brought this on himself he should be ban for life and not allowed in the hall of fame same for every steroid user including mark.

His Race is not an issue at all.....its his alleged Roid usage. I use the term alleged because it has not been conclusively been shown to be true.
