I totally believe that everyone is going to be a victim of food poisoning at some point in their lives, no matter how careful they are. There is just WAY too many food processing plants getting away with murder, for something not to go wrong eventually. I mean, just look at the number of different cases that have popped up recently! The government is being very irresponsible in not inspecting EVERY SINGLE ONE of these places, thoroughly! However, I also believe that a thorough inspection will NEVER happen. There are just WAY too many bribable people in this world and no one has the balls to step up and say enough is enough. That's the problem with the government, it's nothing but a bunch of pushovers who are too interested in money to actually care about the people it's supposed to protect. If you want to be sure your food is safe, you have to take matters into your own hands and be vigilent about following cooking directions to a T. That's my thoughts!

Good Luck!

first, its not easy to fully inspects all those imported foods n it seem almost impossible too. The inspection normally is base on a certain agreed sample size.

the importer n the manufacturer actually have to comply to certain rule n regulation governed by FDA, with controlled specification.

the best we can do is to read the details carefully n uses our common sense to differentiate the good n suspicious stuff !

Ya, we may be worried but if any of those food was found with problem [ contaminated, contain poisonous stuff etc ], that particular importer n manufacturer would be ban n black-listed, all those problematic stuff would have to be taken off the market with a 'recalled' by those manufacturer, so imagine how much losses would they incured !
