Wikipedia thinks so : "Navajo people, currently the largest Native American tribe in North America, with about 300,000 members." ("Navajo" : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Navajo )
"The Navajo Reservation covers about 27,000 square miles (70,000 square kilometres, 17 million acres) of land, occupying all of northeastern Arizona, and extending into Utah and New Mexico, and is the largest land area assigned primarily to a Native American jurisdiction within the United States." ("Navajo Nation" : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Navajo_Nation )
"As of 2000, the largest tribes in the U.S. by population were Navajo, Cherokee, Choctaw, Sioux, Chippewa, Apache, Lumbee, Blackfeet, Iroquois, and Pueblo."

it's the largest in terms of square miles, yes. Even the Hopi nation in the midst of it doesn't detract from how huge the Navajo reservation is. Tony Kellerman wrote a lot about it.
