I agree with fishguy, Malachite Green is one of the very best chemical treatments for ich. Formalin and Copper sulphate are also excellent, especially in combination with each other.

But, I wouldn't suggest you change your treatment at this point. Keep treating for AT LEAST 7 days after you see the last white spot on any fish in the tank. It really does take that long to be sure the ich is clear of the tank.

Also, expect it to look worse before it gets better, that's normal too.

You should start to see a big difference in 2 to 3 days after treatment. Ich clear is a good product, and will work fine. You can add a small pinch of salt to the water. This keeps the goldfish from contracting other illness's and also will boost his immune system. I would add only a very small amount though. You are doing everything you need to do, it is a very common disease, and very curable so I wouldn't worry.

I am not familiar with that product, but from 20 years experience, I can tell you the absolute quickest Ick cure for goldfish is the chemical Malachite Green. Many common freshwater ick cures use this as their main ingredient. I would look at the box and see if Malachite Green is in fact the active ingredient in that remedy. If it is not, I would go back to the store for a med that does use it.

well... ich are caused by parasite called ichtyophtirius, and made yur fish looks like it's powdered.
since you dont have a heater, i suggest you isolate yur fish in a separate tank, and put the tank under the sun to raise the temp. it'll have to be about 21C and no lesser than that.
another way is to give methylene blue as much as you think it needs. it'll usually last 3 days or more...
happy to help ya!

Ick Clear should work. it may take longer than 7 days to totally clear the ich from the fish. have Patience. Treat per bottle directions and no half treatments. No need to turn up heat you have a goldfish. There is not much you can do to speed up recovery other than feed your fish healthy foods. high in proteins and low in fats.

You can supplement their diet with things like Lettuce, mustard greens, turnip greens, collard greens, spinach, peas, endive, seaweed, cukes, kale, chard, broccoli, lima beans, green beans, etc. and feed aquatic plants (e.g. duckweed, azolla, salvenia, etc) or hair algae daily.

For their Carotenoids which are a family of pigments the fish can't make themselves and are obtained as part of the diet. These pigments result in red, yellow and orange colors. Fish have cells called chromataphores. Those cells convert lutein and carotenes into astaxanthin which is the red pigment.
sources include, brine shrimp, krill, spirulina, marigold flowers, paprika, sweet red peppers, yams, carrots, pumpkin

Watermellons and oranges are also good as well as proteins like chicken (chicken livers) beef (livers and parts) and pork as well as worms and bugs.

this will help to keep your fish healthy which in short will help in recovery.
